Are electronic signatures legally binding?
Electronic signatures are recognised under laws such as ESIGN and UETA in the United States, eIDAS in the European Union and the IT Act in India. Whether a particular document can be signed electronically depends on its type and your jurisdiction. InkWell gives you the evidence, and your counsel decides what suits your documents.
Do signers need an account?
No. A signer opens the link in their email, text message or WhatsApp, verifies in the way you require and signs.
What does the sealed PDF contain?
The signed document, a PAdES signature with long-term validation, and a certificate of completion. You can also export the audit trail as evidence.
What does hash-chained mean for the audit trail?
Each audit event includes a hash of the event before it. If anyone alters or removes an entry afterwards, the chain no longer verifies.
Can we use our own logo and sending domain?
Yes. Brand management applies your logo and colours to signing pages and lets emails go out from your own domain.
Do Aadhaar eSign and e-Stamp work today?
The flows are built and run against sample providers. They become live when your organisation connects its own provider accounts, and until then no real verification, stamp purchase or message delivery happens.
Does InkWell support SSO and provisioning?
Yes. Enterprise organisations can use SAML or OIDC sign-in and SCIM provisioning, with permission profiles to control what each person can do.
